To use the Specify API and extract your design tokens you have to be authenticated. To do so, you have to generate a personal access token in your Access Tokens page. You will use this token in your Specify config file (.specifyrc.json).

Generate one by going to your Settings by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the app. Head over the Personal Access Tokens page and create a personal access token from there.

An access token must have a name and can will only be displayed one time at its creation.

Every personal access tokens, generated by yourself or by Specify, will be listed in the Personal Access Tokens page.
